FLAGGING OFF OF AIR CONDITIONED INTEGRAL COACH BY THE HON’BLE CHIEF MINISTER, PUNJAB.

The Punjab government has started integral air conditioned coaches from various    district headquarters through PUNBUS, in the state of Punjab, to provide comfortable bus service to the general public. The Hon’ble chief minister, Punjab has very kindly consented to flag off the first air conditioned integral coach on 21.7.2006 at 10.00 AM from Amritsar circuit house.

Air conditioned buses will be equipped  with PVC flooring , luxury seats, All way adjustable seats, mobile charging points on each seat , two number of TV(TFT with DVD), audio system with microphone and speaker , GPRS system (Black Box & software), carpet in the gangway. The conductor of the bus will be provided a mobile phone and electronic ticketing machine to issue the necessary tickets. The crew of the bus will be in white uniform.

The fair from Chandigarh , sector 17 bus stand to Amritsar and vice-versa will be Rs.300/-. The bus will start its regular operation from Chandigarh  sector-43 bus stand at 17:20 Pm daily and will stop at Kharar , Ropar , Nawanshehar, Banga, Phagwara bye- pass, PAP restaurant on Jalandhar Bye-pass, beas and Amritsar . It will start its return journey at 5:40 Am the next morning from Amritsar  main bus stand.

• From Amritsar for Jalandhar, Chandigarh and Delhi int. Airport: 8 A.M.

• From Delhi Bus stand for Chandigarh Jalandhar and Amrtisar: 5.45 A.M.

• From Chandigarh for Amrtisar and Jalandhar: 12 Noon

• From Amritsar for Jalandhar and Chandigarh: 5.30  P.M.
