 The Bus to Nankana sahib was flagged off by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan singh on 24th March 2006.The Indian bus departs from Amritsar to Nankana sahib every friday and returns back to Amritsar on Saturday. The Pakistan bus departs every tuesday from Nankana Sahib for Amritsar and returns every  Wednesday from Amritsar to Nankana sahib.

Amritsar bus from Pakistan “DOSTI” (Friendship) crossed the Joint Check Post of the Wagah Border at 11.30 am on January 20, 2006. It bridged the gap between two Punjabs (East and West), that were divided by the Red cliff Line 58 years ago.
